I normally don't have to do this however it has gone haywire. I clicked on the time and checked the central standings and so on , but the time has a 01, or 0 in front of the number. It's kepping great time, if you want to figure 18:30 is 6:30. How can i get back to normal time:smoking:

That usually means something is wrong with your computer. to fix it do the following

1. go to control panel
2. click the date, time, regional options
3. click change format
4. click customize then go to time and change it to h:mm:ss tt

Thank's a lot. That seemed to do the trick. When you say something is wrong, are you talking about the computer itself or a virus?

If it does it again you might need to reformat your hard drive.

Do not reformat your hard drive! 1830 and 6:30 are the same time, maybe you or some program changed it. But even if you have a virus please do not follow the last posters advice and reformat as your 1st choice.

I've been having a lot of trouble for about two months and it seems to be hanging on with bandaid's. It works fine for a while then starts freezing when i try to exit a page. Have a friend that's coming in Jan for a few day's and think i will have him reformat everything and maybe it will speed it up. He has done it quite a few times and i would be lost.

No shit that 1830 and 6:30 are the same time but its not normal for your computer to just change and like he said hes been having trouble for months. He probably has a failing hard drive. When is the last time you defraged it?

This is a Toshiba notebook. I know how to check battery in it, however sure don't have the expertise to find it on my motherboard.
